Just installed this two days ago. Wow! Induction cooking is, indeed, better than gas. No comparison with heated burner electrics at all.This particular unit is pretty slick. Only gripe is that the timer only does whole minutes. Sometimes you want just a minute and a half. Oh - and the timer is just that; it does not shut down the "burner".

Center Burner power insufficient

12/26/2021 FFIC3026TB 30" INDUCTION Cook Top installed 12/26/2021We replaced our Electrolux 30" induction cook top that lasted 12 years with this unit.Like this unit all under glass touch controls. Easy clean up. Controls work well and very intuitive. You wont need to read a manual to figure them out.This unit is a little smaller than the original radient 30" cutout, just barley covers the hole. I will need to find a trim kit to better secure it.Now for the bad. The center large burner lacks sufficient power. Our old Electrolux would bring a gal. of tap cold water to a boil in 6 -7minutes, takes 17 min on this center burner with pwr boil on. The smaller burner on the left side will bring the same to a rolling boil in just over 11 minutes.Before installing I removed the glass top to inspect the induction burners, as usual they had shifted during shipping so they were no longer directly under their location shown on the glass top. I inspected there wiring and connections and placed the burners back in their correct positions. I did notice the 3 smaller burners have an alloy strip attached to the center of the burner, the larger ctr burner had none, nor was there one to be found loose under the glass. One of the pictures shows this.I will contact Frigidaire customer service to see if their is a fix. If not this unit will be returned as the reason for induction over radiant is its fast heating that also results in less power used.

I love cooking on induction and this is a nice unit. If you've not used induction, you are in for a real treat. A small saucepan of water will boil in under a minute. Heat is near instant (you still have to warm up cold cookware first) and when you turn it off the heat is gone instantly. With radiant electric I was always looking for a place off the stove to put my pans so they would stop boiling, no more need with this unit. I had an induction range before, and it was kind of buzzy. This buzzes too, I guess all induction do, but it is noticeably quieter than my old range. I love how there are no exposed knobs, makes cleaning much simpler. If you're replacing a radiant electric cooktop it is very easy to pop out the old unit, change the wires, and pop this one in. If you're not handy you may want to hire someone. Overall, performance is great, hopefully it will prove to be reliable!

We are very happy with this unit. One criticism: the induction coils do not align with the graphic on the glass top, especially for the largest coil in the center of the cook top. This causes an uneven distribution of the heat. We've remedied this by just moving the pan about 25% off the graphic.

Coming from an electric cooktop this takes a little getting used to. I think it heats slower than my electric on the levels under 6. I do not care for the way to adjust the heat settings but it looks sleek. The power boil is an amazing feature and quite the time saver. It works as described. There is a bit of a learning curve on how to cook my favorite dishes on induction back electric but if you™€™re used to induction I™€™m sure this will be no issue.

It is by far the best cook top I have ever had it is like cooking on gas very controllable the heat turns down instantly and comes on almost as fast. I've had the cooktop for several weeks now. I've been using it moderately heavily, and it's worked very well. It's made by Electrolux, as was the inductive cooktop (Sears Elite) that it replaced. Compared to the previous one, purchased in 2006 and rather more expensive, the Whirlpool model has fewer power settings per burner. The previous one had two levels for the lower power numbers, as well as a global keep-warm mode, which were useful. Also, even on the same 240-volt power supply, the medium burner on the current model is not quite as powerful as the older one.The main problem with this cooktop is that the inductive elements are not properly anchored, so they shift when the item is shipped. The large hob was clearly well off-center. I had to disassemble the cooktop, which wasn't very difficult, though it's held together with many screws. Inside, I saw that the large burner was off to the side, and the rubber feet that supported that burner and others were loose inside. I aligned everything (the element feet fit over a point punched from the wall of the cabinet. Reassembly was DIFFICULT. Very, very difficult. When I finally succeeded, being sure to keep the cooktop utterly level through installation, it was all good. The large hob was still a bit up and to the right, but it was close enough. The others were ok.Clearly there is a big issue in the design of this cooktop if important parts go out of alignment during shipping. I know that many have had this problem and simply returned the cooktop. During reassembly, I wondered if I should have done the same. Electrolux, you can do better.

Been using this for a few weeks. Takes some getting used to compared to the older electric cooktop (non-induction). Only issue is that the main center burner could use more power. It still takes some time to boil water with a larger pot.

Besides all the hype and advertising on how fast things boil or cool down, it should be made more apparent in bold letters that once you buy this model your old non-metallic cookware will no longer work. We were able to acquire some new inexpensive cookware but I was disappointed that my beloved Farberware set no longer works with this cooktop.

Took a little bit of time to get used to. The touch panel is extremely sensitive. I still am not sure why at times I have a hard time getting it to turn on. I have the instruction Manuel out as I doRefer to it often. On another note it does cook andBoil quickly. I had to buy new pots which was an added $1000 expense. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. I like it however takes time to learn.

Having used a glass cook-top for decades, induction is a game changer. I was worried the touch controls would be an annoyance, but they're responsive and intuitive. Cooking temperature is now much more precise and cooking time is significantly reduced thanks to the heating speed of induction. No more burnt food on the surface is also a huge plus.

New out of box, needs repair
