broke down after a week.

Purchased about 5 weeks ago. Worked for a week and then broke down. Took 2 weeks for service tech to look at it. he ordered new parts; will take another 2 weeks. Life without a dishwasher is very unpleasant. I don't recommend this brand.

We bought this to replace our other Bosch dishwasher that lasted 11 years. This model had the same control panel as our older one. However, the quality of the racks and silverware baskets are extremely disappointing. The silverware baskets do not attach properly to the bottom rack and kept coming off, however after attaching with zip ties, they stay in place. On the upper rack, the small shelves are mounted permanently and do not swing up as they did on the prior model. The quality of this dishwasher is not as good as the 11 year old model.

I got the Bosch Ascenta Dishwasher because the reviews I read about it were so positive..Consumer Reports listed it as one of their top choices...and I must say it really is a superb machine. My dishes are squeaky clean and it is so easy to use. One thing I was not prepared for is how quiet it is - sometimes I have to check that it is actually running..it really is that quiet. A really great buy!

New Bosch dishwasher. Quiet. Cleans nicely. Cycles appear very long? (2 + hours on normal and automaticcycles) Since day one of installation, drying aid leaks out between door and dispenser, so reservoir can't be filled. Repairman called and scheduled to come out in 2-3 weeks. Was given name of 4 authorized service companies to repair; two of which said they are no longer in Bosch warranty repair program.

This dishwasher is only the third I've had in the 40 years I've lived in this house. I replaced the one that was here when we moved in and bought a Sears product a year after we moved in. We replaced that dishwasher with this Bosch dishwasher a year or so ago. The only reason we replaced the old dishwasher was be cause the baskets were falling apart and we thought it we thought the dishwasher was going to give us more problems in the future. Enter our purchase of this Bosch. This dishwasher has underperformed since we first purchased it. It doesn't dry and clean the dishes. The rack is made for dish plates and doesn't hold other dishes well. I will never recommend this dishwasher to anyone. It doesn't perform anywhere close to our old one, even as old as it was. If I hadn't gotten rid of it, I would reinstall it. I doubt I will keep this one very long.

First of all, I think this machine does a good job of cleaning dishes. I had some in which had dried food and they came out clean. Some improvements, or things that just don't appeal to me: 1. There is no sentence in the owner's manual, on the internet or in YouTube videos that mentions how to open the dishwasher. I could only find info on "child lock" which led me to believe I had one of those (I don't). Would it be so hard to write: Open machine by firmly pulling the finger pocket in the middle of the cycle description bar. There is no lock to move or grasp. 2. Silverware container. all the little holes separate the flatware pieces, as long as one's flatware have handles that fit. I need a silverware container with larger spaces, like 2 inches x 1 inch. 3. The litte overhangs on the top dish drainer? too high for glasses, so what are they for? 4. Why is there a message lit up that says I need some sort of liquid? 5. Please provide MUCH better descriptions and photos of how to get to, and clean, the filter, since this needs to be done regularly.

I did not know I was purchasing the Cadillac of dishwasher. The Bosch dishwasher is by far the best of the twenty or so dishwashers I have owned. It was recommend by the person that installed it. He has replaced many dishwashers, but very few of them were Bosch. He said the Bosch dishwashers he has replaced were about 30 years old. He replaced them with the newer version of a Bosch. My unit is very quiet, and the dishes are spotless with little to no prerinse. It is has place for all my dishes, and cleaned in half time it took with my old one. It comes will ALL the items required to install, (hoses, filters, and came with an electric plug. Good value at a great price.

We have been really happy with this dishwasher. It has washed my dishes beautifully and has been simple to clean; all of which has made my life a lot easier. I will say though, if you are looking for a quiet, you have no idea it's on, type of dishwasher, this isn't it. It does have quite the rumble and the spray hitting the inside of the door can get loud. We haven't minded because of said clean dishes, but just food for thought.

I guess my old one had declined over time, so I hadn't really noticed until recently how many things I was having to wash a second time. The only thing I am not crazy about with the new one is getting the filter in and out to clean it. Otherwise very pleased!
